Empowering Communities: Abuja Welfare & Health Outreach 2026

NISSIE Ideal Care Foundation recently conducted a massive community welfare and healthcare outreach in the suburban districts of Abuja. Our team of volunteer doctors, nurses, and community advocates gathered to provide immediate primary care, check health indicators, and distribute essential goods. Over the course of the three-day event, our clinical staff set up mobile check-stations. We screened more than 250 local residents for high blood pressure, diabetes, and basic pediatric health concerns. In addition, our team distributed free primary care medicines, multivitamins, and nutritional packages for young children. Alongside medical support, we distributed business starter grants and food relief packages to widows and vulnerable families. By providing both health screenings and direct economic assistance, we hope to build a stronger foundation for self-reliance within these families. Mr. Peter Okwori, Founder and Executive Director of NISSIE, noted: "Seeing the immediate relief in our mothers' faces and ensuring our elders get checked is what drives our mission. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers and donors who made this outreach possible." Take a look at the event highlights in our gallery and join our future outreach teams by applying to volunteer today!
